Vanessa Handrick-Garner. dark blue line

Vanessa literally grew up in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and is thrilled to be joining her mother, Lynette Mason Gregg, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Vanessa was recently seen as Louise in the Andrea McArdle production of Gypsy, as well as BAHBT’s production of Oklahoma! playing Laurey.

After graduating from Houston’s High School for Performing and Visual Arts, she appeared in the National Tour of Bye Bye Birdie with Tommy Tune and Ann Reinking.

In 2000, Vanessa wrote and recorded her first solo album A Letter Home to You. Her record received national radio airplay, as well as a Just Plain Folks award in 2001. Her song Not The One was featured on the hit show Dawson’s Creek.

Vanessa is an Alumna of RAFA and BAHBT and enjoys continuing and passing on the education, training and life lessons she received while a student at RAFA.
