Mr. Michael began his musical theater career 35 years ago and he is thrilled to spend his 36 year at RAFA. He has directed several Broadway Studio Workshop productions and his favorite RAFA experience was playing Jud Fry in the main stage production of OKLAHOMA. As a director and choreographer his work has been seen at Theater Under the Stars, Seattle's Fifth Avenue Theater, Goodspeed Opera House, Kansas City Starlight, Oklahoma's Lyric Theater, The North Carolina Theater, Galveston Outdoor Musicals, and The Alley. As a performer he played the title role in The Who's Tommy on Broadway, in the National Tour, and in Germany. Other tours include 42nd Street (first national), Mame (staring Juliet Prowse), The Unsinkable Molly Brown (staring Debbie Reynolds), and Evita.He has performed in over 60 TUTS productions, most recently playing the title role in Geppetto and Son. He is also the co-creator and artistic director for The Tommy Tune Awards and The North Carolina Capitol Awards, for excellence in High School Musical Theater.
